Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC) Representative
East Hopewell Township is accepting letters of interest from residents wishing to serve as the Township’s representative on the York County Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC). This volunteer position plays an important role in regional communication, policy discussion, and intergovernmental cooperation.

About the Committee
The LGAC provides a forum for municipalities to collaborate on issues such as planning, transportation, emergency services, tax policy, and public administration. Representatives share local perspectives and help shape regional approaches to municipal challenges.

Responsibilities

Attend LGAC meetings (typically quarterly).

Review agendas, reports, and policy materials.

Participate in discussions and provide input on behalf of East Hopewell Township.

Communicate meeting outcomes and recommendations to the Township Supervisors.

Serve as a liaison between the Township and regional/local government partners.
Qualifications

Must be a resident of East Hopewell Township.

Interest in municipal government or community planning.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to attend scheduled meetings.

No prior committee experience required.
Time Commitment
Approximately 10–15 hours per year, including meeting attendance and preparation.
